Wine Route Journal

(Lea and Keith) During our stay in South Africa we explored two of its most famous routes - the 'Garden Route' and the 'Wine Route.' Between our visit to Kruger and Cape Town we drove along the southern coast of South Africa, the 'Garden Route.' This route took us to pristine beaches with crashing waves and rocky coasts. After our visit to Cape Town we  drove inland to Stellenbosch, where we based ourselves and explored the 'Wine Route'. This route took us through green valleys tucked between mountains. Along each route we discovered quaint villages and stayed at some of the best bed and breakfast homes that we have experienced.  Both were beautiful to drive through and we enjoyed the views, the food and of course, along the 'Wine Route', the wine!

Check out our Wine Route photos.
