Bangkok
The Reclining Buddha

Wat
Pho is the largest and oldest wat (16th Century) in Bangkok. It houses the
Reclining Buddha, and a national headquarters for teaching traditional
Thai medicine and massage.
Chedis
(stupas) are throughout Wat Pho and other wats in Thailand. They represent
the stability of Buddhism. Many chedis are believed to contain
relics belonging to Buddha.

The majority of Thais are Theravada Buddhists. These pictures
depict Thais paying tribute to Buddha through incense and offerings. The right
picture is the entrance to the Emerald Buddha from the 1400s.
