Stonehenge Photos

Stonehenge construction began over 5000 years ago.  The purpose of Stonehenge is unknown - religious? scientific? aliens?  Then theories abound.

Some of its 4 ton stones were brought from Wales, over 250 miles away.  It is estimated that it would take at least 600 men to drag one stone.

More stones.

Near Stonehenge is the town of Salisbury with one of the most beautiful cathedrals in England.  The Salisbury Cathedral was constructed in the 13th century.
