Prayer flags and wheels - Swayambhunath Temple (Monkey Temple)
Sadhus - Durbar Square
On
a hill top several kilometers outside of Kathmandu lies the "Monkey
Temple"; it is an important Buddhist temple and is guarded by many wild
monkeys.
Cows,
business men, tourists, and sadhus all converge in Kathmandu's Durbar Square,
home to the Old Royal Palace and numerous Hindu temples dating back to the 12th
century.
In
Durbar Square is Bhairab, a form of Shiva, one of the many colorful Hindu
gods

in their beautiful saris walk past the Shiva-Pavarati temple in Durbar Square.
