Luxembourg Journal
(Lea
and Keith) Here I am in standing with Keith and my cousin Karen.
Keith and I arrived in Luxembourg for a wonderful and relaxing two night stay with
Karen and her boys, Trevor and Andrew. We enjoyed the luxury of being
picked up at the station (rather than the normal routine of spending an hour figuring out where to
stay and how to get there) by Karen's friend Terry who then gave us a tour of
downtown Luxembourg city. We were then treated to fantastic home cooked dinner
that Karen made us. The following day Karen showed us some great sights in
Luxembourg. She drove us through its pretty rolling green countryside to a
small village with the Vianden castle perched above it. In addition we
also accompanied her to her concert practice in a cathedral in another small
village. We enjoyed a night of great music for free! Karen also
showed me collections of information and genealogy she has collected on our
family history in Germany and Switzerland - including letters from my
Grandmother whose parents emigrated to the US from Germany. On our last night we
again were treated to an excellent meal. I wanted to take lots of
pictures of Karen and her family but we had so much fun talking, drinking wine
and eating that I forgot to get out the camera!
Check out our Luxembourg Photos.
