Keith Glenn McGhee
After 5 years, traveling around the world, and adding to our family, I decided it was time I updated the "who I am" entry of the web site. I have lived most of my life in Virginia with the exception of a year in California. During that year, I gained the confidence and vision to tackle some of my dreams and aspirations.
In 1989, I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!); after returning from California, I decided to pursue an MBA. During the second year of my MBA, I met Lea and we have been inseparable since. After getting my Master's of Business Administration from The College of William and Mary (1995), I then started a new profession as an information technology consultant at American Management Systems. While working, I earned a second Master's of Science in Computer Science from Old Dominion University (2001) by attending night and weekend courses. We are now living in Norfolk, where I am a Vice President at CACI.
So, obviously I have spent a great deal of energy in my career and consider myself very lucky to have the opportunity.
My life outside of my career is always exciting. I am married to my best friend, and am lucky enough to have great family and friends that I enjoy visiting and talking too.
I enjoy helping the community and serve on the Board of Director's for ForKids
Inc. I have had the support and encouragement of my Mom and brother at every point of my life. As most reader's have probably guessed, we love to travel, and have traveled all over the world. In 2004, we traveled to China to adopt our beautiful daughter,
Grace . . . a truly life changing event. You can read about her on this page.
I'll attempt to give you a taste of the stuff I like through these top five lists. Remember that this is a moment in time and I will reassess things often . . .

Leanne Katharine Currie-McGhee
After
five years, I felt I should update who I am, especially since so much has
happened. The basics are still the same. I was born (Abington, PA, 12/14/71),
grew up in the Midwest with two awesome brothers and terrific parents, went to college (Northwestern U for a electrical engineering),
served in the Navy (as an engineer), got an MBA and then worked as an IT software analyst in the "civilian"
world. While in the Navy, I met Keith and he became my best friend and
husband. In 2001 Keith and I went on our amazing around the world
trip. I learned so much about the world and myself. The best part
was getting to spend a year together--we loved it. Since returning I have
been fulfilling another dream--writing. I am a full time children's
writer--it is challenging and wonderful. And now Keith and I have
fulfilled another dream--becoming parents! We are adopted our daughter,
Grace Katharine Xin,
from China in January, 2004. She brings more joy to us then we thought possible.
She is the best little girl in the world!

Grace Katharine Xin McGhee
Daddy is writing this entry until I am old enough. I
was born in Louyang, China and now live in America with my Mommy and Daddy. I love snacks, particularly gold fish,
cheerios, and crackers. Elmo is my favorite character on Sesame Street and I have an
Elmo doll,
smock, and other Elmo toys. I enjoy talking to my Pop Pop on the phone, even on my toy phones. I like to show my art work to Gran and Grandma; even though they are not always at my house, I like showing their my
drawings to their pictures. Dancing, music, swimming, going to Starbucks with
Mommy and reading books are some of my favorite things to do. I also am a
big football fan and climb on the couch and yell "Yay" when Daddy
watches the Hokies.
