Hoi An Photos

Hoi An is a quaint little town about midway along the coast of Vietnam.  The architecture is diverse with influences from Japan, China, and France.

Several blocks from the Japanese bridge, are French influenced buildings and colors

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Interspersed amongst the shops and restaurants are Chinese pagodas and meeting halls.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Several kilometers from Hoi An is the ancient Champa city of My Son.  The city prospered between the 2th and 15th centuries, AD.  The picture is of Shiva, a Hindu diety.
