Peles
Castle in Sinaia set atop a hill away from the village. The interior was
extravagant and fit for a king. In fact, Carol I lived here in the
early 1900s.

Bran
Castle in Bran, a village in Transylvania. We learned that the real Count Dracula,
Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), is not
believed to have stayed here.
Brasov,
a typical town in Transylvania.
Before
Romania we made a brief stop in Sofia, Bulgaria. We did not see too many
sights but we did see lots of chess playing in the park.
